JUNE 2010 KRAFT PAPER SECTOR REPORT:
Total Unbleached Kraft shipments were 118.9 thousand tons, up 10.8% compared to the same month last year. The year-to-date shipments posted an increase of 17.8% over 2009. The total Unbleached Kraft inventory was 800 tons less than last month to 51.3 thousand tons.
The total shipments of Unbleached Kraft Bag & Sack declined 4.0% compared to June 2009, but 4.7% up from last month. Total year-to-date shipments dropped 0.9% over 2009.
Total shipments for Unbleached Kraft Multiwall Sack increased by 30.2% compared to the same month last year, and 12.0% from last month. This is the sixth consecutive month in 2010 Unbleached Multiwall Sack showed a strong increase over 2009.
Unbleached Kraft Converting shipments were up 7.6% compared to June 2009, and 2.4% from last month.
Total Bleached Kraft shipments increased by 9.4% compared to the same month last year, and 8.3% from last month. Total Bleached Kraft inventory was 300 tons less than May 2010.
